On 20 January 2025, the Strategy Meeting of the PeaceBread movement was held in Berlin. There were 26 participants from 8 countries.

The working groups put forward proposals for the next period of activities of the Peaceful Movement.
The main thrust is to involve more youth entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs in rural areas. Sustainable agriculture, the sustainable use of the natural environment and ensuring social development in rural areas will be the main themes.
Future conferences will aim to create better opportunities for participants to interact and exchange experiences, and visits to farms will be organised.

I gave a presentation on notable events related to rye in Estonia in 2025 – Count Fr. Berg’s 180th birthday, the 150th birthday of the winter rye variety ´Sangaste´ and the international symposium of
EUCARPIA rye section in Tartu on 17-19 June.

The symbolic envelopes with relevant information of these events, with the post stamps “Good things Estonia – rye bread” were handed over to the participants.

A visit to the symbolic starting point of the peace movement at the former Berlin Wall where the first rye field was sown. At the Berlin Wall Museum,the participants of the TOP Course, a further training course for young farmers in Germany, organised by the Andreas Hermes Academy , were met.
