On the day of the rose and clematis of the Botanical Garden of the University of Tartu, the guests were the well-known rose and clematis growers Christi Unt and Taavi Kivistik.
Christi Unt is the hostess of Roosoja farm, whose rosarium includes more than 400 varieties of roses (www.roos.ee).
However, the Kivistik family are the most successful clematis breeders in the world, whose collection of large-flowered clematis on Roogoja farm was recognized in 1992 as one of the largest in Europe (www.roogoja.ee).

The International Register shall include: represented by 146 varieties of clematis bred by the Kivistik Family. In addition to clematis, the Kivistik family has bred many beautiful varieties of roses, of which 15 is entered in the Estonian Variety Register.

More than 200 varieties of major groups of varieties such as park, finer, coating, shrub and twisted roses can be explored in the rosarium of the Botanical Garden of the University of Tartu, among which almost all the old and many newer local rose varieties and bred by the rose breeder Mart Ojasalu are represented to this day.
More than 40 varieties of clematis bred by Uno and Aili Kivistik can be seen in the clematis garden, as well as small-flowered and large-flowered varieties and species bred in other parts of the world, including both 1-5 m-high lianas and
0.5-1.0 m high persistence and semi-bushes.
